Atlas is made by Stammen Technology. If something breaks, or a backup or import does not look right, send the details below. Stammen Technology support will review the report.

Please include:
- Atlas app version and build number.
- iOS or iPadOS version.
- Device model.
- What you were trying to do.
- What happened instead.
- Whether the issue happens again after closing and reopening Atlas.
Do not send private photos, backups, or location files unless you intentionally choose to share them for support.
Photo Import Help
Atlas can import selected photos, recent photos, or a full photo backlog. Photo Import checks photo dates and locations on device and then lets you review places before they count.
If import does not find a place:
- Confirm the photo includes a saved location.
- Check whether Photos access is set to Limited.
- Try selected-photo import with one known travel photo.
- Add the visit manually if the photo does not include location data.
Backup And Restore
Atlas backup files can include places, visits, trips, wishlist items, goals, compare snapshots, import history, and settings.
Use Export Backup before major changes or before deleting local data. Restore replaces the current local Atlas data with the backup you choose.
Automatic iCloud Drive snapshots are off by default. If you turn them on, they are backup files, not sync.
Photo review queues, scan progress, geocode cache, and saved photo references are not restored from Atlas backup files. Places from photos that were accepted into your map are restored as normal visits.
Atlas Pro
Atlas Pro is a one-time purchase. No subscription.
If Atlas Pro does not unlock after purchase, open Atlas settings or the paywall and use Restore Purchases. Restore uses the Apple Account that bought Atlas Pro.
Atlas backups do not transfer a Pro entitlement.
Privacy Controls
Atlas includes local-first privacy controls, including private display options, Home Area protection for residential photo clusters, photo import history removal, backup/export tools, and delete-all-data.

Current Limits
- Atlas does not include account sync in version 1.
- iCloud Drive snapshots are backups only.
- Photo Import depends on dates and locations stored in the photos you choose to scan.
- Maps, place search, and geocoding use Apple services; Explore country card photos can load public images from Wikimedia Commons and open public attribution or license pages.
